Habitat homeowners help build their own homes, alongside volunteers, and pay an affordable mortgage. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity (Raritan Valley Habitat) is excited to announce the selection of a new partner family to help rehabilitate and ultimately purchase a home in Somerset, New Jersey.

“Habitat Saved My Life”: Bridgewater Resident Receives Vital Home Repair Assistance
Emma and Herbert Hessenthaler have lived in their Bridgewater home for the past 42 years. Herbert, who has advanced Parkinson’s and A-fib, has been disabled for nearly sixteen years. This has kept him from being able to do any work around the house or even cut the grass. He is currently in hospital, where Emma has been going back and forth daily to help care for him.

Hops For Homes: Cypress Brewing
Join us for Hops for Homes, a fundraising event at Cypress Brewing in Edison. From 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. on July 23, a portion of all sales will go to benefit the Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity. Enjoy local craft beer and help support our efforts to build and repair affordable housing in Somerset and Hunterdon counties. We’ll see you at Hops for Homes!
