House Built with Magic

Our partners, Magic 98.3, came out for the third annual “House Built with Magic” event on June 19th-20th. Generous sponsors of the event included ABCO HVACR & American Standard, Central Jersey Fence, Horizon Pest Control, Lattanzio Lumber Co., and Retro Fitness of Hamilton, Hillsborough, North Brunswick, Manville, and Raritan

Champion Home Sponsor, Ethicon and Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, provided the volunteers for the two-day event. Employer volunteers constructed walls for the next home Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity will build in Somerset County.

Building on Faith Service Day

Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent are partnering to create a Building on Faith Service Day on Saturday, September 14, 2019.  Local teens, families, and individuals of all ages will have the opportunity to come together for a one day mission experience in the local area.

Building on Faith Service Day will offer people of all ages and abilities an opportunity to serve. The volunteer sign-up link below allows you an easy way to indicate areas where you would be willing to help out. You will see that in addition to general building, repair, painting, landscaping and other types of project work, there are needs for individuals to supply and deliver work team lunches, help serve breakfast or refreshments to returning workers, work at the sign-in table, take photographs, provide child care and more.

We are excited about this event and hope you will consider partnering with us to create a significant impact on our local Christian community.

Women Build is a community of strong, dedicated women, coming together to be a force for good in our communities. Connect with like-minded women, give joy to others and build friendships. Your participation will change the world for children in need of a safe, stable home to thrive.

As Women Builders help others, we help ourselves. Whether we are learning new skills or simply adding a few to our tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that we share.

Registration Cost: $25 with a fundraising minimum of $100.

Important Update

The national sponsor for Women Build is shifting their funding support to focus on specific geographic urban areas, so we will not receive the $5,000 match for Women Build this year. 

The fundraising minimum for participation is $100, but we’re asking everyone to set a fundraising goal of $500 or more to help offset the loss of funding for Anita and Obi Okagbue’s home.
